CHAPTER 1 "THE FRIGHTENED LADY"
Helen stoner needs help and visits Sherlock Holmes and his friend Dr. Wtson. She is frightened because her twin sister died in a misterious way. She is worried for her own life.
CHAPTER 2 "A MISTERIOUS DEATH"
Helen tells them how her twin sister died. She said that two years ago, Julia got engaged and that one night, Julia came to Helen's room because she heard stange noises, and suddenly she was died.
CHAPTER 3 "HELEN'S FEARS"
Helen tells them what she thinks it happened to the death of Julia.
She tells them that she heard strange noise in Julia's room last night,while she was sleeping in Julia's room. Shelock Holmes says what they need go to her home to do a research.
CHAPTER 4 "AN ANGRY VISITOR"
Grimesby visits Holmes because he has followed his stepdaughter. He asks Holmes to tell him what his stepdaughter told him,but Holmes expulsed him out of home. Holmes and Watson take a train to Moran. Then they go to Grimesby's house to talk to Helen. She tells them they are in danger because her stepfather knows she visited him.
CHAPTER 5 "A STRANGE ROOM"
Holmes enters to the house of Grimesby looking for clues.He is attracted to a rope,to call the servants.Holmes realizes that the bell doesn't ring and the ventilator doesn't work.Then, he also realizes that the bed is fastened to the floor, so they go to investigate Grimesby's room.
CHAPTER 6 "MORE STRANGE CLUES"
When Holmes enters Grimesby's room, he sees that three is a saucer of milk on the floor. Helen tells him that his stepfather collects animals. Holmes also finds a safe , but Helen doesn't know what Grimesby keeps there. Holmes also finds a chair with shoe marks and Watson finds a strange stick. Holmes tells Helen to follow his instructions because if she doesn't do it, her life will be in danger.
CHAPTER 7 "THE SIGNAL
Holmes knows how Julia died, but he needs more clues, so he tells Helen to make a signal when his stepfather is going to sleep.At night, Watson and Holmes see the signal ob Helen.
CHAPTER 8 "THE BEAST IN THE GARDEN"
Holmes and Watson come to the house of Grimesby. A beast follows them, but they don't know what is it.They try to climb to the Julia's room,but the beast attacks them.
CHAPTER 9 "DANGER IN THE DARK"
They enter to the room. They see thet the ventilator is making light of the Grimesby's room .When they enter to Roylott's room,they heard a noise.
CHAPTER 10 "THE CASE IS CLOSED"
They enter to Roylott's room.They see a snake, Julia called it "speckled band". Holmes put the snake in the safe.They told Helen that Grimesby wanted to kill her for money, and the policeman would never check for such an unusual poison. Helen, Watson and Holmes say goodbye.
